Introduction
Camp Latieze is a beautiful forested area in the foothills east of Redding, in northern California. The camp is owned and operated by the Shasta County Board of Education. It is located at the base of Mount Lassen, only a few miles from either entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park. The location and facilities make Camp Latieze an excellent location for education or retreat.
As an education facility, Camp Latieze has much to offer. Students can be removed from the distractions of their everyday lives to become immersed in the topic of their schools choice.
Various churches, scout troops, community organizations and business groups have also enjoyed using the Camp as a Retreat. The grounds also make a beautiful setting for a family reunion. The in-ground swimming pool is wonderful for the warm summer and autumn days.
